Burger Guide - LA & NY

· · Comments
·

Every few months I get a craving for a burger. Sometimes I'll compromise and get a turkey burger or tuna burger, but on the occasions where I allow myself to indulge I've had some of the most satisfying meals.

LA

Stout Burger

Stout Burger has 3 locations in LA, over a dozen beers on tap and a great happy hour. My favorite burger here is the Six Weeker which is a beef burger with brie, fig jam, arugula and caramelized onions. They have the best onion rings too.

The Apple Pan

The Apple Pan is an LA institution serving up no-frills, old school burgers since 1947.

Umami Burger

My go-to item at Umami is their signature burger with Parmesan frico, shiitake mushroom, roasted tomato, caramelized onions and Umami ketchup. Their sweet potato fries are great too.

I know I'm in the minority when I say that I don't get what all the hype is about           In N'Out burger.

NY

Shack Shake

When I'm in NY this is one of the first places I go to. I always get the ShackBurger which is a cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, ShackSauce. I also splurge and get a frozen custard and fries. Their fried chicken sandwich is amazing too.

The Breslin

The lamb burger here at April Bloomfield’s British gastropub in the Ace Hotel is so good! It's served on a crusty bun and topped with feta cheese and sliced red onion.

James

This hidden gem is located in Prospect Heights Brooklyn and serves rustic fries and divine burgers in an upscale little neighborhood spot.
