Museum of Ice Cream
Like many Angelenos I have been trying for months to get tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream. This past Saturday I finally got to go and see what all the hype was about. There are 10 colorful themed installations spread across an airy warehouse space. You can scratch and sniff the banana wallpaper, press your nose up to some mint leaves and eat gummy bears and other candies, mint mochi, sea salt caramel ice cream cone cinnamon churro ice cream. There's also a claw machine where you have the chance to win a tee shirt or phone case. And most notably, there's a pool filled with plastic sprinkles and pool floats.
They are very loosely using the word museum. You will not be learning anything about ice cream other than it's yummy. It's more like an art gallery, but one that serves you ice cream and candy.
